For those folks traveling into the City for PodCamp this weekend, PennDOT has announced that inbound I-376 will be CLOSED. More info about that closure and listed alternate route is located through PennDOT’s website and this handy .pdf file.
With regard to commuters looking for parking information, there are a couple garages within a 2-block distance. Point Park has a great list (with directions). Weekend parking rates are generally pretty decent, and run about $5.00 a day or so.
We’ve been receiving a variety of questions regarding where rooms will be located for each session. Room A will be the GRW Theater (which is behind the registration desk). Room B is UC 212, and Room C is UC 219. We are updating this information on the online schedule and session descriptions. Information will also be available at the registration desk throughout the weekend.
We will not be providing lunch this year. Instead, we’re encouraging attendees to make new friends over lunch in any of the nearby eateries. The Cultural District has compiled a great list of local restaurants in the Cultural District, and there are a variety of places in Market Square (including quick spots like Dunkin Donuts and Bruegger’s Bagels to more sit-down spots like Las Velas and Il Pizzaiolo).
We’re really excited to see everyone this weekend, and don’t forget about our ice breaker meet n’ greet event tonight at Wigle Whiskey. Space is still available, but filling quickly. Please register here if you’re interested in attending so we can add you to our Super Awesome Amazing People Attending list!
