We are proud to announce this year’s Friday night kick-off meet n’ greet event at Wigle Whiskey – 2401 Smallman Street Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The event begins Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Come on out for some drinks, appetizers, and conversation!
Wigle Whiskey is Pittsburgh’s continuation of a history of American whiskey – right here in Pittsburgh. It is the only whiskey distillery in the region, and was the first distillery in the City since Prohibition. The brand is named after Phillip Wigle, a local activist in the Whiskey Rebellion, who was sentenced to hang for defending his right to distill whiskey in Western Pennsylvania.
Although historical whiskey was spicy, earthy Rye Whiskey called Monongahela Rye, Wigle boasts an array of products. They are working to restore a Pennsylvania tradition championed by the rebellious distillers, and make spirits much the same way Wigle and his friends did when Pittsburgh was the center of American Whiskey – with a copper pot and local ingredients.
We are looking forward to partnering with Wigle for this year’s meet n’ greet event. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up for your ticket to reserve your spot through our Eventbrite page here.
